About me

Life can be hard. From the outside it might look like all is well, but inside you're struggling. Perhaps you feel a pressure to just keep going, to just 'get on with it', but it's getting really difficult to do that?

I'm here to help. Whatever's weighing you down - anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, loss or feeling lonely, trapped or cut off in life - let's sit together and quietly, thoughtfully, get on top of it together?

If you work with me, you'll get someone who:

  1. Is a qualified therapist, with a Post Graduate Diploma and a MA in progress in psychotherapy and counselling.
  2. Is a Registered Member of the BACP (mBACP)
  3. Works 'integratively'. That means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, finding ways forward that make real sense for you.
  4. Is empathetic, non-judgmental, authentic, caring and easy to talk to.
  5. Believes in your ability to heal. Whatever you're going through, my aim is to support you to find the resource and resilience inside that can help you move forward - out of pain and towards happiness.  That can sometimes mean working together to find - then take down - some of the blockages and barriers that are getting in the way of you finding your own answers, or your own strength.
  6. Has faced some hard times personally. There have been periods of my life that, at the time, I didn't think I could get through. Loss, loneliness, anxiety and depression aren't just random, abstract concepts that I've read about in others. Therapy helped me get through some tough times and later I retrained as a therapist myself.
  7. Offers a free 30 minute initial chat on Zoom to talk over what's going on for you - email me via this page to set one up (do check your spam folder if you don't seem to have had a reply from me within 24 hours). Or call me on 07421 001461 (if you get my voicemail just leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can).

Face-to-face sessions are available in London (near London Bridge station) or in Tunbridge Wells, in Kent. Plus online sessions on Zoom.

Finally - if you're a member of the LGBTQ+ community, you'll find in me someone who is non-judgmental, affirmative, compassionate and committed to helping you find your way.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
