About me

Counselling is an opportunity for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, beliefs and behaviours whilst being heard and supported in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment. All emotions are welcomed and accepted within the counselling room.

My name is Joanna (Jo) Passmore and I have a private practice in Ogwell, Newton Abbot. I work from my lovely, comfortable garden room, which provides a safe and secure environment.

To ensure that I am the right match for you and I am the best person to help, I offer a free no obligation 30-40 minute session to discuss what has brought you to therapy. This will give you an opportunity to find out how I work and what I can offer to help you move forward.

I am a registered member of the National Counselling Society (NCS) and I work in line with their Ethical Framework. The code sets out the standards that all qualified members are expected to meet. My NCS membership number is: NCS21-00643.

I work as an integrative therapist. This means I can tailor your therapy by using different models as and when required, such as Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. However, it is important that we are able to build a trusting and safe relationship first, which is a fundamental part of your journey.

I am passionate about helping individuals to find ways to move forward with their lives. To be part of your journey would be a privilege.
