About me
MSc-qualified therapist, counselling supervisor and counselling lecturer.
What's the difference between talking to friends or family... Meeting with a compassionate counsellor who prioritises your perspective and values and focuses on your needs and goals without imposing their own beliefs.
You need a space to talk in peace...without interruption, so you can figure things out for yourself.
Whatever it is that is affecting your ability to function well, such as self-sabotaging behaviours, procrastination or perfectionism, or listening to a negative inner voice, can leave you feeling sad frustrated passive or angry
I'm here to support your mental health & well-being.
As a Counsellor, Counselling lecturer and Counselling supervisor, I have the skills and experience to support you, whether you choose to hop into a single session (SST) or want to try short-term or open-ended counselling to work on yourself.
How do we get started? You can arrange a session today by visiting the booking contact link.
You will find me caring and focused on your well-being... I offer counselling and if required, some takeaway coping techniques drawn from a long list of postgraduate qualifications.
Online or face-to-face, you can talk to someone outside of your family work or friendship group, to help you to make life-lasting positive change.
I look forward to meeting you soon
Jen

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Humble Brag Alert ...
My work was published in Assessment and Treatment Activities for Children, Adolescents, and Families Volume 4: Practitioners Share Their Most Effective Techniques 2022.
In 2008, I was awarded for my work (West Mids Psychologist of the Year Awards) that focussed on the issues of parental alienation and the impact of separation and divorce. Since then I have worked with families worldwide, offering insights and solutions that benefit the whole family.
One size does not fit all... I like to offer a flexible way of working via a convenient booking page that allows you the client, to choose when you want us to work together. You can either hop into therapy for a single session or take your time with short-term (say 6 weeks) or longer-term counselling to work on yourself.
I have varied work-life experience, starting with a Master's in Counselling Psychology, post-grad qualified as a Psychological Well-being Practitioner, (NHS IAPT), and later transitioning to working in the field of education as a Counsellor in British international schools.
Alongside this work, I support estranged parents /separated /divorced or going through shared care court proceedings. For those considering adoption, and fostering I offer a range of services providing parenting classes self-care and experience in preparing home study reports.
Working with you (or a family member ), whether that be on shared care communication, anxiety-related issues, sibling-parent relationships, fears feelings or thoughts, UK or ex-pat issues, transitioning in life is not always as straightforward as we might expect.
Sometimes all we need is a therapist Where We Are.
I look forward to meeting you soon, Jennifer
