About me
I'm a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and Clinical Supervisor with over 20 years of clinical experience within the NHS, third sector and most recently private practice.
Working with both adults and couples, providing psychological therapy for trauma (current and historical), depression, anxiety, stress, phobias, low self-esteem, sexuality issues, bullying, OCD (including intrusive thoughts), relationship difficulties, difficult relationships with food, pain management, trauma, attachment difficulties and various addictions. I also work with individuals and couples who are interested in growth and development.
Are negative self-defeating thoughts holding you back in life? Perhaps they are keeping you stuck in a situation that makes you unhappy? Maybe on the outside you look like you have it all where everything seems well. Inside, though, you are stuck in a cycle of self-criticism, self-doubt, and overthinking.
As a Counselling Psychologist I have had extensive training in assessing a range of psychological difficulties and determining the most appropriate form of help you will need. My main models of therapy include Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT and Person-Centred therapy.
Additional training includes that of Schema Therapy. Whilst I may use an integrative approach, more than one therapeutic model, in my practice I am equally able to use each therapeutic approach independently in accordance to your needs and the goals of therapy.
You can start to enjoy your relationships, work and social life more fully. Using an evidence-based approach tailored to your specific difficulties, and the goals you want to work on, I will help you achieve the life you want and deserve.
Access to therapy as never been as easy or convenient. Make yourself your favourite drink. Pop on your earphones and open your laptop where I will be waiting for you on Zoom.
You can schedule your FREE, no obligation, 20-minute phone or Zoom consultation here.
Referrals
I accept referrals from individuals (self-referrals), GPs, Psychiatrists, Solicitors, Local Authorities, and rehabilitation companies. Please contact me if you have any queries regarding this by emailing me or on my mobile. You can make a referral, self-referral, or ask your consultant, insurance company or your GP to make the referral. I am approved by major insurance companies and would be pleased to answer your queries on this if you have any.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Psychological Society
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
