Jason Valenti-Individual & Couples Counsellor-Dip, MBACP
Hello again, thanks for clicking on my profile.
I have been in private practice for many years, and have a great deal of experience listening to clients discuss their feelings around depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss. Through talking, this has helped clients understand themselves.
I am a specialist counsellor dealing with individuals & couples and have a specialist interest in bereavement & addiction. I have worked in rehabilitation & hospice settings.
I know entering counselling can be very nerve racking. As part of my training, to become a counsellor, I have had many years of therapy to understand me, and I can honestly say it is one of the best things I've ever done. My own counselling experience will allow me to explore with you and help you come to an understanding about yourself.
Some clients think I have the ability to read their minds...... I don't. Some think I have all the answers........I don't, but together we explore what is going on for you, which will hopefully lead you to finding your own answers. Others
think I will give them advice........another thing I will not do as your experience is completely unique to you and any advice given could lead to a negative outcome for you.
What I will offer you though is a safe space, which is non judgmental and in full confidentiality. I will always be there for you, for as long as you require the space to talk.
Please contact me if you have any further questions. I hope to hear from you soon.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
