About me

"Healing does not mean the damage never existed, healing means the damage no longer controls our lives"

Does life feel overwhelming, stressful and challenging? You may be finding yourself getting distracted worrying about your relationship, battling anxiety and depression, experiencing a bereavement , or struggling with your self-worth and confidence. You are here, taking that brave first step in looking for a counsellor, showing strength and determination to create positive change.

"I understand what it feels like not to be okay"

My choice to become a counsellor came from my own personal experience of struggle. After attending therapy and working with a counsellor to understand my own experiences, I recognised the power of talk therapy in helping people heal, feeling empowered to create positive, long lasting change. I hope to provide that same healing space to others.

People come to counselling for many reasons, you may be experiencing trauma - past or present, anxiety, depression, miscarriage, marriage difficulties, abortion or bereavement. As a person-centred counsellor I work with clients in a collaborative way, ensuring you feel safe and secure in a non-judgemental and trusted environment. During our sessions we will work together at your own pace, ensuring you feel comfortable and safe. I will not provide you with advice or tell you what to do but work with you to support you in deepening your self-awareness, giving you the space to explore any thoughts or feelings you may be struggling with.

Together we can make a positive difference.

I offer in person counselling on Tuesday afternoons in a warm, welcoming and confidential space within the small town of Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

Alternatively, online appointments are available where you can access therapy in a space that feels comfortable for you, allowing sessions to be accessible, making time for you in a world that can often feel fast paced with little time to spend taking care of you.

I offer free 15 minute calls to discuss the counselling process and answer and questions you may have.

Feel free to give me a call on 07729783847 to discuss the next steps in your journey, alternatively, email me at Jazz@safehandscounselling.com.
