About me

Hi, my name is Jane Hall I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means I blend a number of different theoretical models to work most effectively with each of my clients as unique individuals.

I believe, through my experiences with my clients, that we have within each of us, the resources to heal from  trauma, difficult times and relationships and realise our  true worth.

We become disconnected and removed from our belief in our ability to cope, through our experiences , sometimes beginning in childhood.

Counselling can help to remember, connect and learn new strategies by giving a safe space to explore how we are thinking and feeling. To cope, recover and understand what is best for us.

I offer a safe, comfortable non judgemental space to talk, reflect and make sense of what you are experiencing. We work together, you bring all the knowledge of you, no one knows you better than you know yourself  and what you are going or have or been through. Even if you feel consciously you don't  know who you are.   I bring my knowledge and experience as a Counsellor of 15 years and life experience of many more years.

I believe that is is important to have balance in life. Not only of our mental, physical and emotional selves, but also of the spiritual. That we have a sense of how we fit into this world and what is important to us. That we nurture the soul.

I specialise in sexual abuse working with both children and adults, (pre-trial if required). My experience is also with clients who have neurological conditions, their families and carers. These include Parkinson's, MS and ME.

It may be difficult to take the first step in Counselling. We will work at your pace and with the issues you want to bring to the sessions. It is your space and time.

I offer a 20 minute free phone call, with no obligation, to explore your needs and how you would like counselling to help you. I can let you know how I,  may be able to help, and further information on how we could work together.

I am fully insured and a member of the BACP.

I work with children aged 5 and upwards, adolescents and adults.

I work face to face, online or by telephone.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
