About me

What I offer:

Based in a welcoming and airy room in Dalston, east London, I offer 60-minute face to face, telephone and Zoom sessions,  and work with clients facing a variety of issues in their lives.

My areas of expertise:

I specialise in relationship difficulties, and working with people who have experienced loss or bereavement.

Loss is part of living, but although every one of us will encounter it at some point and in some way, that doesn't make it any easier to live through and adjust to when it happens.

And when a relationship is under strain, we can feel confused, trapped or rejected.

Whether you’re grieving for someone who has died, or trying to cope with the end of a relationship, a career setback, retirement, getting older, or a difficult health diagnosis, for instance, you may feel alone and overwhelmed. Even if you have family and friends to turn to, it isn’t always easy or even possible to share your true feelings. And despite what society tells us, there’s no ‘normal’ way to react to loss and no neat and tidy timetable. Talking can help.  As a qualified and experienced therapist, I'm here to listen to and support you.

What to expect from therapy:

Therapy is a time and space in which you can explore what is distressing you safely, in privacy and confidentially.  You won't be judged, and you won't be told what you 'should' do.  Together we can explore how to find change, meaning or peace – whatever you’re looking for – in the painful or difficult things that happen in life. Trust, warmth, acceptance and empathy are the foundations of my practice.

Free initial Zoom or telephone consultation:

Please contact me to arrange a free, no-obligation 20-minute phone or Zoom conversation.  We can discuss how we might be able to work together, and you can ask me any questions you may have.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
