About me

Hi, my name is Jamie, and firstly thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

We all need support at some point in our lives to overcome problems. I am here to help, our counselling sessions can provide clarity and guidance as together we can explore whatever may be troubling you.

Given the right conditions, I believe that a person can reach their full potential and become their true self. During the counselling relationship I will encourage you to bring your own issues to the session, I will help you navigate your feelings, beliefs, and behaviours.

My aim is to provide a comfortable non-judgmental environment for you to feel understood while processing the issues you bring to counselling. Therapy sessions provide a space for you to be seen, heard, safe and supported, which can often bring relief and a renewed capacity to cope.

I know that reaching out can feel daunting, I will do my upmost to offer you my genuine understanding, openness, and respect. I place great importance in ensuring that my clients are made to feel comfortable by providing a safe, secure and non-judgemental environment.

I offer an effective therapy via a Pluralistic approach, which means providing a variety of therapies including person-centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic amongst many others.

I have a particular interest in stress and anxiety. I also, have vast experience not only in anxiety and stress, but depression, family issues, addictions, trauma, and low self-esteem / confidence issues.

I am a great believer that past trauma, whether major or minor impact the way we approach life in the present and future, resulting in issues such as anxiety or depression. My approach helps understand triggers, challenge and change underlying behaviours and core beliefs shaping your present and future.

To help decide if I am the right therapist for you, I offer a free 30 minute no obligation consultation call. This is an opportunity to discuss your therapeutic needs, let you know how I can work to support you, and answer I questions you may have.
