About me

Are you tired of feeling like anxiety is the ruler of your life? Are you looking for that warm, non-judgemental, supportive person who can help you work through that? Hello, my name is Jack Brown. I am an experienced Person-Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I have been using my knowledge and skills to help people work through some of the worst times in their lives. After years of training and continued personal development, I do what I do with love and passion. I am on a register that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Going to see a therapist is no small thing. Yes, it’s one of the best, most life changing investments you can make, but you will be going to talk about such personal, intimate things. Some things that you may have never even shared with someone before. I understand it can be nerve-wracking. I want you to know that I am not judging you for anything, and I want you to get the most out of sessions by feeling welcomed and safe. It’s useful to get a feel of the sort of person you’re thinking of seeing, to decide if you feel it’s the right fit for you. For this reason, I offer a free, no-obligation consultation.

I believe we all need to celebrate and embrace our uniqueness and share our gifts with the world. I am a defender and speaker of the truth and want to help others find their voice to speak and live theirs too. From complex trauma, anxiety, processing big life changes/experiences, to simply investing time in yourself to work towards making effective changes in your life, it is my mission to help you thrive.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a Person-Centred, CBT integrated therapist. I am accredited with the NCPS (National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society), qualified with a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Counselling Skills and CBT. I also hold a diploma in Crystal Healing and have trained with the Alzheimers Society. I am an insured therapist with a full DBS.

I have a background working with a range of different clients, either in person, online or over the phone. I have also worked with survivors of sexual or domestic abuse. I love to provide clients with useful tools they can use right from the first session. By exploring the client's inner world at their own pace, allowing them to process their emotions and be truly heard, I have been along for the journey of people unlocking the power that we all have inside of us - the power we sometimes forget we have. That's the power to find our answers within ourselves and be the true rulers of our life.

Further information

I work with unconditional positive regard for all of my clients, without any judgements. Nobody has walked in your shoes or experienced things exactly the same way that you have. Through the training I took to achieve my qualifications, I have a wide range of different tools and skills to pass on to my clients. I believe in giving clients practical tools they can use from the very first session, encouraging them to work through, or towards, whatever it is they need to.

If you're anything like I was, when I was searching for a therapist of my own years ago, you'll be looking for that welcoming person, who wont make you feel like a case study, but a capable human being. Someone who welcomes you, as a trusted, reliable professional and provides you with the support, learning  and skills you need to work on whatever it is you have come to therapy for. I strive to be that person for you.

My experience of working with so many different clients has given me the privilege of seeing people, from all walks of life, have their personal breakthroughs and transform. That is what I'm passionate about. It would be a privilege to help you do the same.

I work particularly well with people who wish to overcome anxiety, stress and burnout, as well as childhood trauma and any limiting beliefs that are holding you back from reaching your fullest potential in life.

If you're interested in learning more about me, I welcome you to contact me for a free consultation without any obligations. You can also find more information about me through my website (link on my profile), through my social media accounts, or on the NCPS (National Counselling & Psychotherapy) website.

Key details

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

When sessions are happening in-person, I work from a room at ground level to aid accessibility.
