About me
There are lots of counsellors and it can be hard to choose, so a bit about me.
I see counselling as a really collaborative experience, a journey we share, not one where I hold the power over you, the client. You might have been thinking about counselling for a long time, or something might just have happened and you need a place to talk and gain perspective. You have taken the first step and found this site.
My training is integrative, which means that I have a range of different skills and techniques that we can work with together. The session is yours, and it is for me to be present with you, hearing you and understanding you, helping you to find some answers. Without doubt, you will be a different person because of the process.
In so much of our lives we can feel judged, unheard, misunderstood. I try to create a space for you to feel heard and understood, without judgement.
How often do we present a face to the world, to our friends and families, that hides what we are really feeling? The counselling relationship can offer a place where we can start to be ourselves, and I aim with trust and openness to create that space for you. Perhaps you've always been there for others, but have wondered who's been there for you? This counselling space is yours; finally you come first.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
