Georgia Robinson MBACP Diploma Therapist/Supervisor (Registered)
The Centre Mind Body Spirit
I am an experienced Counsellor, trainer and supervisor with over 10 years in practice working with both adults and children.
I believe that the relationship between the client and their therapist is an important one if you are to explore issues that may be difficult to express or painful to remember. Counselling offers you a safe, confidential, non-judgmental and caring space to explore issues, thoughts, emotions and feelings that have come about as a result of various life events. My aim is to help you understand what may be going on in your life, look at what you might like to change and empower you to do so. It can feel good to be free of the burdens that you originally came in to counselling to address.
As an integrative counsellor I am able to use different types of therapy enabling me to have different approaches to suit different issues. This allows me to help you explore current life changing events which may be affecting you now, but also aids me in helping you explore past experiences that have perhaps remained hidden for some time and you now feel the time is right to explore them in a healthy, safe and trusting environment.
I have a lot of experience of working with young people and children and some of my work has involved supporting young people excluded from school, offending or at risk of offending and young children in care. I offer play therapy to very young children and supply a range of play and art materials to support this therapy.
I am an experienced Trainer at the Adult Education Centre in Bexley where I teach up to and including Diploma level Counselling. As lead Counsellor and Manager for several organisations, I am experienced at supervising and guiding newly qualified and counsellors in training.
I run a private practice which is based within the comfort of a garden summerhouse either in Bexleyheath or Erith (Both locations are close to a train station and close to several bus routes). I also have a private practice based in the peaceful and tranquil setting of The Mind Body and Spirit centre based in Rainham.
