About me
Hi I’m Emma, a HCPC registered clinical psychologist with experience of working with children, young people and adults. I have training and experience in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and compassion-focused therapy (CFT). I tailor my approach to your unique needs and preferences, and work in a collaborative way to help you move towards the life that you want.
I aim to create a safe, empathetic and non-judgmental space in therapy, one where we can build a trusting relationship to allow you to better understand and address the difficulties you are experiencing. Some of the issues that I commonly work with include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, burn-out, panic attacks, social anxiety, OCD and emetophobia. I also have experience of delivering therapy to people on the autistic spectrum and people who hear voices. I am happy to adapt therapy to your unique needs.
I am passionate about helping my clients develop healthy coping mechanisms, build self-esteem and self-compassion. In addition to working as a clinical psychologist, I am also a certified yoga instructor with my own mindfulness meditation practice. I can optionally include these in your therapy sessions if that is something you would like to explore.
If you're struggling with something and looking for effective and compassionate therapy, I am here to help. Contact me today to arrange a free 15 minute consultation to see if we would be a good fit.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
