About me

Are you experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, loss, low self –esteem and confidence relationships ?

Hello, I am Elena, working as Integrative Humanistic Counsellor, within Person-Centred, TA, Gestalt and CBT approaches to suit your individual need I have always been passionate about people. I believe that every person is beautifully unique, special and has inner potential to reach high goal and be whatever they feel right, at their own pace.

As your counsellor, my goal is to ensure in providing a confidential safe space that you feel heard and understood. I am non-judgemental and respectful, taking great care by creating a space that you feel comfortable to express yourself, explore your thoughts and feelings of what is impacting your life – to see issues through your eyes.

It takes a lot of courage to contact a therapist and take that first step. It might be one of many reasons why you are looking for counselling therapy due to feeling stuck or just about managing to float with life situation. Experiencing stress, depression, loss, low self –esteem and confidence relationships or any other types of problems that can affect our lives on a daily basis.

Working together, we will explore your challenges and discover new ways of moving forward with self-compassion and acceptance.

"You don't have to be able to see the whole staircase, just take the first step" - Martin Luther King Jr.

Training, qualifications & experience

My previous professional journey and life experiences always focused on support and well-being. I have many years’ experiences in complex care which required specialist approach and understanding of mental health.

I understand the impact of life limiting or life changing diagnosis and the loss and anxiety of facing unexpected health challenges.

Maybe you are caregiver where you have to look after love ones and always be feel the need to be ‘strong’, suppressing own feelings.

I have an ethical responsibility to have regular supervision with a qualified supervisor. I continually work on my professional and personal development. I have professional indemnity insurance and cover for counselling and supervision. I have a current enhanced DBS.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
