About me
You might be here because something in your life doesn't feel quite right. Perhaps you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself. You may be navigating a major life transition, family difficulties, grief and loss including the loss of a beloved pet, or finding that past experiences or trauma continue to affect your relationships and your wellbeing. You may also be questioning what matters to you and how to live a life that feels more meaningful and authentic.
You may be looking for a space to explore experiences of being othered, navigating cultural expectations, or the impact of racism and discrimination.
Holistic, culturally sensitive and collaborative sessions
I’m a trauma-informed integrative counsellor and therapist. I work online with adults across the UK, India, and internationally. Many clients that I support are people of colour coming from diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
I offer a reflective, culturally sensitive, and non-judgmental space where you don’t have to spend time and energy educating me, or justifying important parts of who you are, your culture, or your traditions.
My integrative training allows me to draw on humanistic, psychodynamic, trauma-informed approaches, CBT, and mindfulness, depending on what feels most helpful for you. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, we work collaboratively to shape therapy in a way that feels meaningful, responsive, and supportive.
I pay close attention to the wider contexts that shape our lives, including culture, family, intergenerational experiences, migration, racism, social expectations, and the current socio-political climate. These influences matter because they shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, and the choices available to us. They are welcome in therapy.
My diverse background and experience
I am Indian and have lived, studied, and worked in multiple countries. Before training as a therapist, I worked in research, marketing, and ran my own business for many years. These experiences inform my understanding of:
- High performance pressure, work-related stress and burnout
- The impact of different cultural and family expectations on life and choices
- Navigating identity shifts during professional and geographical transitions
- Issues to do with migration, and the emotional complexity of living between cultures.
What therapy with me looks like
Together we may explore how past experiences continue to shape current thoughts, emotions, relationships, and ways of coping. At other times, we may focus on what is happening in the present and identify practical ways to navigate challenges more effectively.
I take a holistic view of wellbeing, recognising that emotional difficulties often show up in the body as well as the mind through tension, fatigue, restlessness, numbness, or feeling constantly “on edge.”
Sessions and practical information
My fees are £65 per session and I offer the following:
- Short term therapy to address a specific issue or challenge with intention, structure and emotional support over a defined period.
- On-going longer term therapy to explore patterns, relationships and life experiences at their roots, creating meaningful and lasting change over time
- One off Sounding Board sessions which are structured and designed to help you explore a particular challenge or decision that you are stuck with
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call via zoom or teams, which gives you the opportunity to ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and see whether working together feels like a good fit. There’s no obligation to continue after this call.
My work is supervised.

My memberships:
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and BAATN (Black African and Asian Therapy Network)
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
