M. Debbie Howe Dip Couns, MBACP. FRTC.
Life at times can be challenging. We may encounter events or life experience that leave us feeling isolated and without a voice and the need to be supported emotionally. Some experiences despite being in our past can impact on everyday living in the here and now. This can lead to us feeling anxious, depressed, angry or frustrated and questioning ourselves and impact on our ability and confidence to cope.
However you may have a specific issue such as a bereavement or loss, low self-esteem or lack of confidence that you would like to address. Counselling can offer you a supportive and safe space in which to offload, explore or better understand your experience(s).
This confidential and supportive environment enables you to express and explore your thoughts and feelings freely without being judged. The therapeutic process will assist you in gaining a clearer understanding of the presenting issue(s) and help make sense of feelings and difficulties leading to greater self-awareness and help in exploring ways to manage your life.
I am a BACP registered Counsellor who offers a safe and ethical way of working. I have experience of talking with people all ages in various settings.
I work from an integrative framework which allows me to adapt my approach to meet the individual client’s needs. We are all different and each client is unique with their issues and concerns.

I was extremely nervous about going to see a therapist. Within moments of meeting Debbie all of the fear left my body and I was immediately at ease and able to trust, I felt secure and safe. Talking and breaking through layers of self-protection is not easy and takes time. I cannot recommend Debbie highly enough. She has an incredible, sometimes unfathomable, awareness and ability to analyse situations and relationships. Her professionalism is exemplary. Anyone who feels they in need of support should get in touch as soon as possible. I waited such a long time before I asked for help. Seeing Debbie has completely changed my perspective and her support and techniques have given me the tools to maintain good mental health and positive self-care that I could not have achieved alone. She is a truly exceptional individual and her broad range of study and experience is a huge comfort to a doubtful and questioning mind.
