About me

Hello, my name is Cornetta, thank you for checking my profile.  I have a long-standing career as a  trauma/attachment-based psychotherapist and relationship therapist. I work mainly with  YP, adults, couples, families, and other partnerships

I also support the increasing presents of 'system overload', you may be like others struggling to reduce the use of social media, and for some, it's degrading their mental health! The overuse of social media reduces our ability to focus on our goals.  This reduces fulfillment, exacerbates ADHD reduces motivation to change negative behaviors, and for some increases depression.

All parts are welcome!

This means in practice, I am passionate about supporting individuals who need a safe space to talk regardless of gender, race, age, abilities,  appearance, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, class, education, etc.

  • Couples / Non Binary - work to support the relationship and improve emotional connection, assertive communication, and intimacy.  I work with couples around the issues of negative communication, cohesive control and DV, sex addiction/substance use, and infertility.
  • individuals - help with goal setting, life skills, anxiety and depression, shame, trauma healing from narcissistic parents/partners, and self-compassion. I work with individuals with sexual compulsivity, porn, love, cyber addiction, etc
  • I offer a safe space for partners of addicts who would like to support their addict partners as part of pro -dependency.
  • young people - safe space to talk ( every 6 weeks have a session with the caregiver)
  • Families- attachment and parenting skills, infertility, MH, and divorce. This includes court proceedings and parental alienation

As a result of this distinctive approach,  I can mindfully pay attention to your life with compassion, acceptance, openness, curiosity, and sensitivity.

If you feel I can be of service and help please contact me and read some more.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
