Connection Wellbeing Services & Connection Coaching

About me

A little about me

For more than 16 years, I have worked across public and private wellbeing sectors, supporting individuals through deep emotional healing, trauma recovery, and personal transformation. My career began in 2006 in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit, where I spent seven years specialising in complex trauma, addiction, emotional dysregulation, and crisis intervention—eventually progressing to manage the therapy team.

Since then, I have delivered over 16,000 hours of therapeutic and coaching work and founded Connection Wellbeing Services, where I support clients with challenges ranging from anxiety, trauma, stress, depression, anger, and low self-worth to major life transitions and personal development. I also work extensively with individuals seeking clarity, purpose, and greater emotional resilience, even without a specific crisis point.

My expertise has been recognised internationally. I have been honoured with a global Brainz 500 award, identifying me as one of the top 500 practitioners worldwide. I am also an exclusive contributor for Brainz Magazine, sharing insights into mental health, human behaviour, emotional healing, and high-level personal development.

In addition to my private practice, I have designed and delivered bespoke wellbeing programmes and workshops for organisations such as The Lyme Trust, Brighter Futures, The Prince’s Trust, IAM Roadsmart, YMCA, Just Family, and others. My work spans counselling, trauma-informed coaching, psychoeducation, and group facilitation.

WHAT I OFFER

I provide confidential 1:1 counselling and coaching in a warm private practice in Fenton, via Zoom, or at a location of your choice. You can access a free face-to-face or telephone consultation to explore the process and ask any questions.

My approach is integrative, holistic, and deeply client-led. I combine:

Integrative Humanistic Counselling & Psychotherapy
Trauma-informed practice
Executive Life Coaching
NLP
EMDR
Breathwork
Mindfulness and meditation
Reiki and somatic awareness
Health, nutrition, and movement principles
This allows me to work at all levels—cognitive, emotional, somatic, behavioural, and subconscious—creating a comprehensive, personal, and effective approach to healing and growth.

TRAUMA-FOCUSED EXPERTISE

I specialise in working with trauma in all its forms, including:

Childhood trauma and inner child work
Developmental and relational trauma
PTSD and complex trauma
Emotional neglect
Trauma stored in the body
Trauma responses such as dissociation, shutdown, hyperarousal, and compulsive coping behaviours
Through gentle but effective, evidence-based approaches, clients learn to regulate their nervous system, process unresolved experiences, release emotional pain, and rebuild a grounded and empowered sense of self.

THE OUTCOMES YOU CAN EXPECT

My goal is to help you help yourself—building lifelong awareness, emotional intelligence, and practical coping skills that support real change.

Clients typically experience:

Greater clarity in their thoughts, beliefs, and emotional patterns
Stronger emotional regulation and resilience
Reduced trauma responses, anxiety, overwhelm, and internal conflict
Release of unresolved memories, triggers, and stored emotional pain
Increased confidence, self-worth, and personal power
Improved relationships (especially with self)
A calmer, more stable nervous system
Practical coping tools that are personalised and sustainable
A clearer sense of direction, purpose, and alignment
The ability to make grounded, confident decisions
This work is transformative because it focuses on the whole person—not just the symptoms.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

After your consultation, I aim to book your first session as soon as possible. Sessions are one hour (some coaching sessions extend to two hours), and frequency is flexible—weekly, fortnightly, or adaptable to your needs.

Your first session includes:

Confidentiality and boundaries overview
Exploration of what has brought you here
Clarifying your goals and desired outcomes
Beginning the process of increased awareness and emotional understanding
The work then unfolds naturally. We may explore your past, understand your present, or develop a pathway for your future—always guided by your pace and your readiness.

MY THERAPEUTIC PHILOSOPHY

I do not give advice or opinions. Instead, I reflect what I hear, see, and sense, helping you gain deeper insight into yourself. You are not directed—you are empowered.

My role is to help you access your own internal clarity, heal at a deeper level, and build the tools and resilience needed to live the life you want to lead.

FLEXIBLE OPTIONS

Rolling weekly or flexible sessions
Block booking of six sessions at a reduced rate
Short-term and long-term work
1–6 month personal development programmes
Session breaks allowed at any time
Ability to return whenever needed
Many clients begin with one issue and then continue into broader personal growth as they experience the benefits of the process.

GROUP WORK & WORKSHOPS

I also offer group therapy and bespoke psycho-educational wellbeing workshops for organisations. Each programme is tailored to the needs, culture, and objectives of the organisation, covering topics such as resilience, trauma awareness, emotional regulation, mental health strategies, mindfulness, and team wellbeing.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
