Eljin Keeling-Johnson - Connection Wellbeing Services
A little about me
I am an experienced and qualified practitioner that has and continues to work in the public and private sectors of well-being for over 10 years.
I have previously been a Therapy Manager for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. I have or continue to work as a Counselor and Life Coach for organisations such as The Lyme Trust, Brighter Futures, The Princes Trust and IAM Roadsmart.
A free face to face or telephone consultation is available to discus the process of counselling and answer any questions you may have about me, my approach and to ease any thoughts and emotions you may have, as many feel nervous or anxious going into counselling, or simply do not know where to start.
I do not focus on any one area and am open to all concerns and issues that come up for you in life, although I do have extensive experience in all forms of addictions, stress, depression, anger, relationship with self & life, inner child work and mindfulness.
However all areas such as personal, life, life events, relationships, or work can be explored.
I offer 1-1 counselling/sessions in a warm, private and safe room located in Fenton. All work is confidential and non judgmental, giving you space and time for you to just be you, breath, relax and take that step back and away from life, so you can begin to see clearly where you are in life and with yourself.
I am here to hear you and understand you, helping you to help you, energize, empower and refocus you.
You will gain greater awareness and clarity into yourself, becoming a lot more mindful of where you are at and where you may need to go, gaining peace and acceptance along the way, while discovering new coping tools.
All our sessions are completely led by yourself with you at the heart of the process at all times.
My qualification is Integrative Humanistic in counselling and psychotherapy, so I am able integrate and bring in different approaches to suit you. Being a qualified Life Coach and Reiki practitioner who loves Mindfulness, Taoism and Buddhism, I see the wholeness of the client in an open holistic approach.
I also offer group therapy and psycho educational well-being workshops for organisations. These can be written and delivered 100% bespoke to suit the organisation needs.
A little about the process and what to expect
As mentioned, you can have a free consultation or just book in via telephone, text, email or on the Connection Wellbeing Services Facebook page.
I aim to get everyone in for their first session within 1-14 days, as I know how important it is to begin, once you have taken great courage to reach out.
Our first session and all other sessions are an hour long. The frequency of the sessions is open to you. We can agree on this after your first session, however this is totally flexible with the flow of the sessions. with you leading the way at all times.
In your first session we will go over a confidentially agreement and general boundaries of the therapeutic process. We will gain a bigger picture of what brought you to the sessions and look at your expectations and what exactly we would like to achieve.
At first it is to gain greater awareness, reflection and understanding of where you are. Your thoughts, thinking and beliefs may be explored and how you view it and what is causing any suffering.
You will gain awareness around you emotions, becoming more emotionally intelligent, better understanding how and how why you feel what you do.
We may go to the past or the future. However always coming back and relating this to the present.
It is difficult to say where it will go, as everyone is unique and this needs to be respected, but all clientele gain awareness, insight, knowledge and understanding, helping you to make better informed decisions and actions.
I never offer an opinion or advice you will receive what I hear, feel, see and sense.
I offer a block booking of six sessions at a time for those who want to keep the price down, however rolling sessions are available. I can work short term or long term, as we will constantly review where you are with your therapeutic process, being mindful its always flexible and we can refocus at any time in any direction you want.
When clientele find how helpful the counselling process it is normal to want to work in other areas of their life, not just to work through any difficulties , pain or life event, but rather to improve their relationship with self and maintain a healthy way of being.
At any time you want to stop, or take a brake that is fine too, and be able to pick up whenever if suits you.
