About me
I am a person-centred, integrative counsellor. At present I am offering face to face counselling but offer online and telephone if required.
I approach my work with the understanding that you are an expert in your own life and you are able to tell me what you hope to achieve from counselling support. I have had many years frontline experience of working with neurodiversity, including autism and ADHD. My aim is to tailor therapeutic sessions to meet specific needs and to listen carefully to your unique experience.
For example, you may be a single parent of young children and struggle to make it to a face to face meeting; online or telephone counselling might be for you. You may wish to only opt for telephone counselling sessions because of mental health needs or it may fit in with your communication style.
Your ideal may be to meet face to face but are not confident or ready to do this. I can offer ways to build enough trust and confidence that you are comfortable to do this.
Within our initial intake session or online communications my main concern will be to listen to you, understand your individual needs and to tailor a therapeutic program to ensure you are receiving the best possible support that also meets with your personal budget.
I also offer life coaching as an alternative therapeutic intervention, although this person centred it is more goal orientated and requires the client to set and meet personal targets. A coach can support you to complete short term and long term goals.
I believe that our initial conversations will reassure you that I will listen sensitively to you and design a therapeutic package that will meet your current needs and budget.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
