About me
I am in my mid 40s and have been a registered counsellor since 2016. Since 2014 I have worked for Hertfordshire County Council for their Safeguarding Out of Hours Service. I also work with a local drug and alcohol service, counselling for addiction issues and their extremely diverse causes. I am part of a team that aids clients through their recovery.
I also work from home in a purpose built conservatorŷ, where my clients can feel comfortable and able to talk about whatever is causing discomfort in the present, dipping into their past where necessary.

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1999 and had considered training to be an MS counsellor . So When I was suddenly made redundant in 2012, I decided I would use it as a opportunity to train and realise that dream.
My illness puts me in a unique position as I have personal experiences of the feeling of anxiety, depression, bereavement and self-esteem encountered by people with many illnesses, as well MS.
MS is a very individual driven illness where what works for one, may not translate to the many. I work with clients to create their own person therapy. Using my multi-model training we are able, together, to build a unique and individual therapy that fits your current need.
My other interests include painting, photography, gardening and rugby. (watching that is not playing),as not quite fit enough for that right now!
