About me

Hello and welcome to my profile. I am an experienced therapist offering online therapy to individual adults of all ages.

Therapy provides an opportunity to better understand ourselves, untangle inner conflicts and bring about positive change. The sessions are a place for you to have your voice heard, respected and with the aim of promoting healing.

I acknowledge that the environments we grew up in and what we experience as we move through the stages of our lives, can leave us with emotional wounds and unhealthy coping mechanisms. Life and living, can take a toll on us and my goal as your therapist is to provide you with a safe and confidential space where we can explore together, what you choose to bring to the sessions.

I work in an integrative way, which means I draw upon various modalities, mainly Person Centred therapy with elements of Gestalt and Psychodynamic. I will support you and work with you, to improve your emotional well being. I tailor the therapy to suit your individual needs and can offer short term (solution focused therapy) or longer term sessions. I aim to provide my clients with a supportive and calm space, away from the chaos and relentlessness of the outside world.

It's so important that you find the right therapist for you; that's why I offer an initial consultation by telephone, to those who feel ready to begin with therapy. This free consultation provides an opportunity for you to discuss what you want to get out of the sessions and to find out a bit more about how I work. You can then decide, in your own time, if you wish to begin having sessions with me. I look forward to speaking with you!

NCPS
National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
