About me
We're all human. And, being human means dealing with life's inevitable struggles. Juggling your personal life, relationships, family dynamics, social and cultural expectations, work, life stage changes and challenging life events (both planned and unplanned) can create the perfect storm that leaves you struggling to cope. I imagine you've got pretty good at developing healthy and maybe, not-so-healthy habits that have helped you survive (and, often even, thrive). However, maybe those coping strategies are less effective now than they used to be, and perhaps that impacts how you feel about yourself, others and the world around you. That's where I come in. When life gets a bit too much to handle, therapy offers a space to reflect, process and make sense of our experiences. Whatever you're experiencing, I offer online and in-person therapy and coaching to explore what you've been dealing with. Whatever your starting point, my aim is to help you make sense of your experiences, allowing you to find balance and bring about change in a way that works for you.
Who I work best with
My areas of interest include:
- Loss & grief (in the context of, but not limited to, bereavement, navigating life-stage changes, relationship issues, navigating long-term health conditions)
- Trauma & abuse
- Neurodivergence (particularly for clients who've experienced a late-stage, adult diagnosis or believe they may be neurodivergent)
- Anxiety, depression, stress and burnout
- Issues with self-esteem & self-confidence
What that means in practice is that I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds who've experienced or are experiencing challenges in their lives.
How I work
I offer private online and in-person (Reading & Marlow) psychotherapy & psychological support.
I work collaboratively, taking a trauma-informed, compassionate approach, using a variety of evidence-based techniques to support you towards meaningful change. I'll support and encourage you in sessions, bringing compassion, humour and a focus on strengths alongside your challenges. We'll consider past or current changes or challenges and help you explore and make sense of them, enabling you to move forward.
Holding a space for you that's welcoming, inclusive and validating is really important to me. I want you to feel comfortable enough to be the most authentic version of yourself, no matter who you are, where you've come from, how you define yourself or what you're grappling with. Rule number one is that you feel safe, heard, seen and understood.
So, if you'd like to get started, contact me for a free consultation or book directly via my website.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
You can book introductory calls and assessment sessions directly via my website. In the assessment session, we'll explore together how you want therapy to work, what you want to focus on and what you'll need from me in order for something to feel different. Once I know what will make you feel comfortable and safe to explore what's bothering you, I'll use a range of evidence-based psychological theory to inform how I interact with you in our sessions. We'll take a positive approach to psychological support that emphasises coping skills and emotional wellbeing alongside your distress, with the aim of delivering meaningful change.
