Charlotte Harrison BA (Hons) MA Clinical Counselling MBACP
Harmony Counselling & Hypnotherapy
14 Vincent Street
Hi there, I am Charlotte, and I am a qualified Person Centred counsellor.
I offer a safe, comforting environment for you to talk. I will not judge you. I will believe everything you tell me, and this will be kept strictly confidential. I work with many issues, but specialise in: Depression, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, OCD and family issues.
I offer my true, authentic self- a gentle, compassionate, down to earth person, who will react to what you say with honesty, openness and true feeling. I am on your side, and I will do my very best to help you.
Beginning counselling can be a hard decision and sometimes it feels shameful, like admitting defeat or failing. The truth is- we all need a helping hand sometimes and that's okay. I will walk your path with you with the greatest of tenderness, warmth and care, and importantly- at your pace.
I am here to help you to gain clarity and insight into how you think and feel, help you to understand, heal and grow, to be kinder to yourself, let go of old habits, feel better and live life more fully, with a greater sense of meaning, connection and purpose.

Client Testimonials: 2018
"I have had 6 sessions with Charlotte. She has helped me in so many ways. She is an amazing counsellor! I feel so much lighter/happier, since having my sessions. It has helped me to find myself again, and focus on me. She has really helped me to get through a difficult stage in my life. I would definitely recommend Charlotte if you need someone to talk things through with. It took me a very long time to go to any sessions- I just wish I had gone sooner."
"I am a 45 year old woman. When I first came to therapy I was desperate and struggled with a number of issues that I had kept buried and silenced. Through Charlotte’s care and empathy I started to unpick my journey, starting from childhood, and through key stages of my life. I needed the time and space to truly process things which therapy afforded me. Charlotte has helped me to face traumatic experiences bravely and with genuine compassion. She is exceptional at truly listening and understanding, never judgemental. Over time through our weekly sessions I have come to a place of hope and trust. For anyone considering therapy what I would say is don’t be afraid to try. This was something that was so hard for me, speaking about myself was hugely difficult and painful. But once I had crossed that threshold it became a process of self-discovery. Therapy has been a truly life changing experience where I have been finally able to discover my true self, my own identity. I feel empowered and strong. A different person than 3 months ago.
"Charlotte is an excellent Counsellor; she is deeply empathic and intuitive with a genuine, authentic approach to working with people that gives her clients the opportunity to feel truly heard, understood and respected at a deep level. She is passionate about what she does, and this passion follows through in to the deep care and presence she offers her clients. As a fellow Counsellor, I would not hesitate in recommending Charlotte."
“Charlotte has given me a safe space to express my true feelings without fear of judgement and has helped me to make sense of how I am feeling and why I am feeling this way. She allows me to choose what I would like to talk about and simply offers a helping hand. In this way, she gives me confidence that I have the power within myself to heal, but gives me comfort knowing that I have her support and expertise.”
"When I first started here, I didn't know what to expect. I was in a dark place and didn't know if there was light at the end of the tunnel for me. After working with Charlotte on a weekly basis, life now seems much more managable and there is definitely a future for me out there! There is not enough thanks in the world that I can give, because I am certain that without Charlotte helping me, I wouldn't be alive to write this."
"In the last two years, a lot of things have changed for me but one thing always remained constant: Tuesdays @ 1pm. These Tuesdays have helped me through a lot of things and kept me on the path towards getting better. I don't know if I would even be here today if it wasn't for your help and continued support. As difficult as it's been to overcome some of the things I've been faced with, having you as my counsellor has helped me greatly. You've made me think positively on days were all I could see was negativity. I wish there was a way to show you how much you've helped me. All I can do is say this: thank you."
