About me
Hi, I’m Carys — an experienced integrative therapist based in Central London, working with individuals and couples.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes it’s a crisis or a loss; sometimes it’s a quieter sense that something isn’t quite right. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply curious about yourself in a new way. If you’ve found yourself here, you may be hoping for something to shift, even if you're not yet sure what that is.
I welcome a broad range of experiences into the therapy room. You might be dealing with grief, anxiety, relational difficulties, or a more subtle sense of unease. Whether you're coming alone or with a partner, I believe therapy can offer meaningful support - a space to explore what matters, make sense of your experience, and move toward greater clarity and connection.
Our therapy together will be a grounded, collaborative process. I’ll be actively engaged in helping you reflect on what’s going on, explore what’s working in your life, what’s not, and why. Together, we’ll gently examine patterns that may no longer serve you, consider new perspectives, and explore more fulfilling ways of relating, to yourself and to others. I bring curiosity, care, and commitment to this work, always moving at a pace that feels right for you.
While I work with a wide range of clients, I have particular experience supporting people through significant life changes, shifts in identity, relationships, career, or family life. I also work with those who grew up in environments that were confusing, neglectful, or painful. These early experiences can shape how we relate to ourselves and the world around us, often in ways we may not fully recognise until later. Together, we can explore these patterns so they feel less fixed, something you can understand, rather than feel bound by.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. To make it a little easier, I offer a free 15-minute call by phone or Zoom — a chance to talk through what you’re looking for and see if it feels like the right fit.
If you're curious, feel free to get in touch. I’d be glad to hear from you.
Training, qualifications & experience
Experience:
I trained as an integrative practitioner, simply meaning I have experience in integrating different theories and methods into our work. I don’t believe in a single way of doing things and this enables me to be flexible in my approach, tailoring our work together to support you and your individual needs.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a therapist at two specialist services, one supporting adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and the second working with maternal mental health and infertility. Prior to becoming a therapist I worked in the creative arts and continue to dedicate part of my practice to this sector.
Qualifications:
- MSc Integrative Therapeutic Counselling - University of Greenwich (BACP Acred.)
- Intensive Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling - Regents University
- Certificate in Group Facilitation.
- PG Advanced Diploma in Relationship Psychotherapy (in progress)
I am a member of the following:
- The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the BACP Code of Ethics
- The Relational School
I am fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity cover.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
