About me
Please note that I am currently fully booked. However, please feel free to phone or email me about your requirements and any questions you may have. I am happy to add you to my waiting list and will let you know when your preferred session time becomes available.
It is not always easy to cope with life's problems or difficulties, especially when feeling overwhelmed and unsure. By reading this you have made an important step towards addressing those aspects of your life that are troubling you and bring about change.
I am a qualified and experienced psychoanalytic psychotherapist and supervisor and a member of the BACP and UKCP.
How to start:
Please feel free to phone or email me so that we can get a clearer picture of what you are looking for. If you would like to go forward we will arrange an initial consultation, to meet and talk about your requirements and the way forward.
If you choose to work with me we will meet once, twice or three times a week for 50 minute sessions in my safe and private consulting room.
The length of therapy depends on what you want to achieve and the types of issues you bring. My training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy means that I am able to work with you up to three times a week if you feel that you would like to work at a deeper level. I am also experienced in offering short-term therapy for a set number of sessions usually between six to twelve.
My consulting room is located in Redhill, within easy reach of main bus routes and a 10 minute walk from Redhill station. It offers a safe, secluded and private setting in which to talk about the issues that are troubling you. Sessions are available both during the day and in the evening.
My approach:
I provide a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space for you to explore difficulties and concerns. I can help you become more aware of yourself, your strengths and difficulties and explore how past experiences may be holding you back.
My approach is psychoanalytic, however I am trained and experienced in finding ways that suit each individual.
I am experienced in helping with issues such as sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, low self-esteem, relationship and family difficulties, bereavement, post-natal depression, domestic abuse, phobias, loss, separation, divorce, addiction, self-harm, stress, anger and frustration.
I also work as a therapist to student and trainee counsellors and am a qualified supervisor.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
