About me

I aim to provide a therapy that is informed and able to work in an integrated way by combining the different theories and techniques of CBT, Psychotherapy, and Hypnotherapy and more recently EMDR for Trauma that is based on the individual needs of the client.

I have consistently undergone various training and has been pro-active in researching new information to keep up to date with current developments in Psychology research.

I have also worked in the NHS in The Midlands: With adults in the Healthy Minds Team and in Solihull with the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and CBT –E (for eating disorders)

I offer on line therapy as well -

On-line therapy is the delivery of mental health counselling via the Internet. People also know it as e-therapy, distance therapy, Internet therapy and web therapy.

Therapists and online therapy networks use a variety of mediums such as apps for texting, video chatting, voice messaging and audio messaging.

Studies have proven the efficacy of therapy via the internet to the point where it has become a viable alternative and supplement to in-office therapy.

CBT is based on the idea that the way we think about situations can affect the way we feel and behave. For example, if you interpret a situation negatively then you might experience negative emotions as a result, and those bad feelings might then lead you to behave in a certain way.

How does negative thinking start?

Negative thinking patterns can start from childhood onwards. For example, if you didn't receive much attention or praise from your parents or teachers at school, you might've thought "I'm useless, I'm not good enough".

Over time you might come to believe these assumptions, until as an adult these negative thoughts become automatic. This way of thinking might then affect how you feel at work, university or in your general life.© Mind. This information is published in full at
