About me

Hello, I am Caroline, an experienced counsellor working with a range of clients from different backgrounds. You can come to me for support with any issues including feelings of depression, anxiety, loss or if you’re struggling with confidence, your relationships or your career.

I also work with women diagnosed or seeking a diagnosis of endometriosis as this is a condition I have personally experienced.

Speaking to someone about your feelings and the situations you are experiencing can really help. It’s a challenging and stressful world for many of us at the moment and you may need to share your worries with someone who is focused on you and supporting you to manage your concerns.

I can provide you with a safe, confidential, non-judgmental and collaborative space, to help you process your thoughts and feelings away from friends and family.

I am trained in integrative counselling which means I draw from a wide range of approaches to provide the best support and style for you. These include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), humanistic and psychodynamic counselling techniques. I’m also a certified NLP (neurolinguistic programming) practitioner and regularly use the theories practiced in TA (transactional analysis) therapy.

I work within the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) guidelines for counselling.

I offer my clients both short and long term counselling. You will not be expected to attend weekly sessions if this isn't what you need or doesn't work with your schedule.

I have over 10 years of experience supporting people through one-to-one counselling and coaching sessions.

Before setting up my private practice, I worked for a corporate London based consultancy working with corporate, public-sector, not-for-profit and creative organisations.

I supported hundreds of clients including business owners, senior leadership teams and individuals through one-to-one counselling, coaching and group training sessions.

Making the first call to a counsellor can feel daunting. I will make the process as simple and as easy as possible for you.

Please send me an email and we can set up an initial call.

You will find me in Leigh on Sea where there is easy, free parking on my driveway. You can work with me via Zoom or over the phone if you would prefer not to travel.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

As your counsellor, I’m here to listen to you, see the world through your eyes and support you in understanding your feelings and how best to work through them.

My preferred style of counselling is psychodynamic as this allows us to focus on the cause of your problems rather than coping mechanisms alone. This style of counselling typically requires a longer program however the results are far more effective.

If you are looking for counselling support, this is a list of the areas I specialise in:

  • Grief and loss
  • Feelings of depression
  • Anxiety management
  • Relationship challenges
  • Workplace struggles
  • Developing confidence
  • Managing multiple priorities
  • Creating a positive mindset
  • Career transition and development

To continue my learning, I regularly attend professional development courses.
