About me
I’m Caroline, a counsellor with over a decade of experience. You can come to me for support with relationship struggles, feelings of stress, depression, anxiety (including physical reactions), loss, or if you’re struggling with confidence, or your career.
Speaking to someone about your feelings and the situations you are experiencing can really help. It’s a challenging and stressful world at the moment, and you may need space to share your worries with someone who is focused on you and supporting you to manage your concerns.
I have lived experience of dyslexia and ADHD, which gives me a deeper understanding of the challenges these can bring including overwhelm, focus, emotional regulation, and self-esteem. There are practical strategies that can support you if you are struggling.
I also work with women experiencing fertility issues, miscarriages, premenopausal symptoms and those diagnosed or seeking a diagnosis of endometriosis or adenomyosis, as these are conditions and challenges I have personal experience of.
I provide a safe, confidential, non-judgmental, and collaborative space to help you process your thoughts and feelings away from friends and family.
I offer both short- and long-term counselling, and you won’t be expected to attend weekly sessions if this doesn’t suit your needs or schedule.
I am trained in integrative counselling, which means I draw from a range of approaches to provide the support and style that best suits you. These include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), humanistic and psychodynamic counselling techniques. I am also a certified NLP (neurolinguistic programming) practitioner and regularly use concepts from transactional analysis (TA).
My work delivering counselling in a hospice for a year gave me a greater understanding of loss and how to support my clients with the huge impact and range of emotions we can feel when experiencing the passing of someone we loved and endings in chapters of our lives.
I work within the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) guidelines for counselling.
Before setting up my private practice, I worked in a London-based consultancy with corporate, public-sector, not-for-profit, and creative organisations, supporting hundreds of clients including business owners, senior leadership teams, and individuals through one-to-one counselling, coaching, and group training sessions.
Making the first call to a counsellor can feel daunting, I aim to make the process as simple and comfortable as possible for you.
Please send me an email or call me on 07712531266 and we can arrange an initial call.
You will find me in Leigh-on-Sea, where there is easy, free parking on my driveway. I also offer sessions via video if you would prefer not to travel.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
As your counsellor, I’m here to listen to you, see the world through your eyes and support you in understanding your feelings and how best to work through them.
My preferred style of counselling is psychodynamic as this allows us to focus on the cause of your problems rather than coping mechanisms alone. This style of counselling typically requires a longer program however the results are far more effective.
If you are looking for counselling support, this is a list of the areas I specialise in:
- Grief and loss
- Feelings of depression
- Anxiety management
- Relationship challenges
- Workplace struggles
- Developing confidence
- Managing multiple priorities
- Creating a positive mindset
- Career transition and development
To continue my learning, I regularly attend professional development courses.
