About me
Hi I'm Caren, I am a fully qualified and experienced person centred psychotherapist. Specialising in trauma, abuse and PTSD. I am a registered and accredited member of NCPS* and adhere to professional standards and also work within the ethical framework. I provide one to one counselling to adults and young people aged 16+. First initial 30 minute assessment session is free.
Sometimes our life circumstances can lead us to difficult and emotional places, and it can help to have someone to turn to that is impartial and will listen to what is important to you. The ability to focus on how things are for you and really hear how you feel, and accompany you through these difficult times working through your emotions can be a very unique and helpful experience.
Counselling offers a safe space to talk about the things that matter to you, to open up at your pace, and experience essentially a non judgemental, confidential and honest therapeutic relationship. Therapy involves talking about life events, feelings emotions relationships and patterns of behaviour (problems such as anxiety, health anxiety, relationship issues, feeling low, depression or trauma and stress). I will listen, encourage, empathise and challenge to help you see issues more clearly or in a different way which facilitates growth and change.
My aim is to ensure when you take that step into counselling, which can be extremely difficult that you are met with warmth, genuineness and compassion.
