About me
I offer you a warm welcome to my profile. I am a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and Counsellor and I work with children, young people, adults and parents. I am specifically trained to work with children and adolescents, having completed a 5 year masters in child and adolescent psychotherapy and counselling. I also have a wealth of experience working with adults.
If you are either a child, adolescent or adult, perhaps you feel that you some extra support to help you through a particularly difficult time, or maybe you feel you need help with more longstanding issues. Counselling or psychotherapy can provide just that, a safe space to explore and process your feelings and work through any anxieties, traumas, fears or worries that you may be experiencing or have experienced.
I work in an integrative way, which means that I access a wide variety of approaches that best suit each client. For some clients, this may be through talking, but for others, it might be through play, art or other forms of creativity, where conflicts and traumas can be worked through, in a way that feels most comfortable to each individual.
As well as working as a psychotherapist in private practice, I currently work as a therapist in a fostering agency, providing foster carers with therapeutic support. I have also worked as a school counsellor, providing therapy to children and young people in a variety of schools across London, Havering and Essex.
I am a fully accredited member of UKCP.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I strongly believe that the relationship between the therapist and the client, is paramount to successful therapy, and therefore, I work very hard to create an environment where you/your child feels warmly welcomed and accepted for who they are.
