About me

Hi, I’m Caleb (he, him). As an experienced and fully qualified counsellor, I bring a wealth of expertise in supporting individuals facing a myriad of challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, and historical trauma. Through my years of practice, I've come to understand the intricate ways in which these difficulties can impact our emotional well-being and our ability to regulate our thoughts and feelings.

I personally have experienced all of the above and while this has been incredibly challenging, I have found my experiences to be enriching for the work I do. I have felt the struggles in being a parent, being a partner and being myself. I can empathise with the feeling of there being no escape from the place we find ourselves in. I feel humbled by my life experiences, and this carries through to my approach with clients. I look to provide an environment that feels safe and open, an environment where clients can explore freely without fear of judgement.

What to expect.

I look to provide a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Whether you are coming with a specific goal in mind or aren’t quite clear in what you need, I look to tailor each session to your individual needs and preferences.

Drawing from various therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, humanistic, and existential perspectives, I offer a holistic framework for understanding and navigating life's challenges. Through open and collaborative dialogue, you will gain insight into your patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving.

Together, we explore underlying beliefs and emotions, identify areas for growth and change, and develop practical skills and coping strategies to enhance your well-being. By fostering self-awareness and self-compassion, you will be empowered to make meaningful changes to your life and cultivate a deeper sense of fulfilment and resilience.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
