About me
Hello there, I understand that this can be an apprehensive place to start, but I would like to offer you a warm welcoming safe, supportive, and non - judgemental space where you can be heard, and a space to reflect your underlying issues that have been triggering you.
My name is Bilkan Kilicer and I am a qualified Integrative psychotherapist, which means that I use different therapeutic approaches to support your needs and concerns. Counselling allows me to put myself "in your shoes", understand the way it has affected you, then by working as a team we can achieve a better understanding, to develop a way towards achieving a better outcome, and prevent any relapse.
Additionally I also make use of my own personal experiences which I have experienced in my life journey, because therapists learn from their experiences too.
What happens next?
The first session will be a 15-20 minute consultation free of charge, which will allow me to get personal details about you, getting a general background of what brings you to therapy, but most importantly, for you to get a general feel of compatibility of us working together and then agreeing on the next step forward.
When should you start therapy? Therapy is not only good when you are a in crisis or at breaking point, but when we want to learn more about ourselves, overcoming barriers and difficulties that have stop us enjoying activities or feeling ourselves, understanding how different times affected us, when we want to have better relationships, when we want someone to talk about something personal and not be judged for.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
