About us
**Initial assessment consultations are available immediately. Online sessions are also available**
Feeling anxious or depressed? Need to make lasting changes in your life or simply want to be the best version of you?
We are a psychologist/psychotherapist team supporting clients with a diverse range of mental health needs throughout the North East and Nationwide. We are fully qualified and registered and are able to draw on a range of therapeutic models to guarantee that therapy is tailored to your specific, individual needs. This has proven to be highly successful in supporting clients with a wide range of difficulties. The support you would like and an explanation of how we work will be discussed in full during an initial assessment consultation.
Why Wait?
Initial assessment consultations are set aside for new clients every week. When you struggle with your mental health, months of waiting can increase anxiety and exacerbate your problems. A priority at Beacon is to always see clients as soon as possible and to respond to your needs with urgency and efficiency.
How Therapy Can Help You
Taking the first steps to get help can be daunting. This is why we always offer therapy in an emotionally supportive and empathetic manner to help you to achieve the changes that you are looking for. We work with the processes of change; though change is never easy, it’s always worthwhile.
As a team, we are fully trained in a diverse range of therapies. This means when we first meet for your consultation, we can consider which approaches may be the best fit for you and therefore the most effective, ensuring you a unique and individualised treatment plan.
Further Information
We are trained and experienced in working with individuals and couples.
Sessions are available face to face and online.
Please call or email to set up an initial 60 minute assessment session. During this, we can find out about what is causing you distress and how we may be able to help. Following the initial assessment, we can then agree on any future appointments.

Member organisations *

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
