About me

I am a qualified Person Centered counsellor and a registered Member of the British of Counsellor and psychotherapist and abide by their code of ethics.

I am able to work with individual adults, children, Couples and families and can adapt my approach to best fit your individual and unique needs.

I have obtained the BACP Certificate of Proficiency. I have regular supervision and hold an enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) Certificate.

Life can be testing and throw up many obstacles and challenges. It can be a lonely and frightening experience.

Counselling is an unfolding process where you embark upon a road of self discovery. Counselling will enable you to gain more insight into your relationships, whether this is your relationship to the world around you, to others or your relationship to yourself. I will support and work with you at your own pace in order to find your unique way forward. You may feel stuck and unable to move forward repeating old patterns of behaviour. Through exploring and working with your unconscious processes in the therapeutic space, I will work with you to gain greater insight and awareness into your self. We can work together in a confidential, safe, non-judgmental space to address your needs, explore your concerns and develop ways to make changes. I offer the following services in English, Farsi and Dari

Training, qualifications & experience

My experience includes work in a mental health agency, bereavement service, domestic violence counselling service, drug & alcohol agency, and working with children at school also working with partners in all sorts of relationship arrangements.

I have worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds bringing a wide range of different concerns. I work collaboratively with my clients and consider that the relationship between us is the single most important factor for a successful outcome in psychotherapy and therefore confidentiality and trust are very important for me.

I offer short term counselling and more in depth, long term psychotherapy.

Please contact me if you have concerns of any issues below therefore We can work together in a confidential, safe, non-judgmental space to address your needs, explore your concerns and develop ways to make changes. Working with a therapist can help you see things in a new perspective and give support through difficult times. Seeking professional support can be the first step to a more fulfilling life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
