About me

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or troubled by intrusive thoughts? Or struggling to connect with yourself? I’m Antonia, a warm, down-to-earth counsellor providing a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement.

What would a typical session look like with me?

I work relationally, a session with me would be us getting to know each other to build a therapeutic alliance, explore patterns and attachments so you can get to know yourself more deeply. I offer short or long-term work.

Do you…

  • Feel constantly on edge, anxious, or preoccupied with thoughts that feel out of control or upsetting (including intrusive thoughts and OCD)
  • Struggle to trust yourself, feel confident, or know what you truly want, leaving you disconnected from who you are?
  • Find it hard to cope with changes, transitions, or challenges in relationships, often feeling unsupported or misunderstood?
  • Notice repetitive patterns in your thoughts, emotions, or behaviour that leave you feeling stuck or frustrated?
  • Feel weighed down by past experiences that continue to affect your daily life?

This isn’t an exhaustive list if what you’re experiencing isn’t mentioned here, I’m still here to listen and support you.

I bring both professional training and lived experience to my counselling practice. Since 2012, I have worked as a mental health advocate, helping people navigate challenges and find their voice. This gives me a deep empathic understanding, alongside practical skills to help clients recognize patterns, build self-trust, and move forward in ways that feel authentic. I tailor my approach to your needs, creating a safe, supportive space for growth.

Together, we can:

  • Understand yourself better and notice and explore together unhelpful patterns
  • Explore thoughts safely (including intrusive thoughts)
  • Build confidence and self-trust
  • Navigate life changes, relationships, and past experiences

I may gently challenge you when it feels helpful, always in a safe, respectful way, to support insight and growth.

Anyone can experience anxiety, and intrusive thoughts can feel distressing or even shocking, sometimes creating guilt or shame because they seem to contradict who you truly are. You are not defined by these thoughts, and in therapy we can explore them safely, helping you understand and manage them while reducing their impact on daily life.

I offer a relaxed, confidential space to talk openly about whatever is on your mind. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy  we can begin wherever you are.

I’m here to listen, support, and help you find ways forward. I offer a free 15-minute introductory call, so we can decide if we are the right fit.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
