I have a very straight-forward approach to counselling: to see my clients move beyond the difficulty they currently experience to a way of life that feels better than they imagined. I don’t do the hard work – you do – that is why we can expect the results to be long term rather than short lived.
As a Counsellor and Lecturer with a business background my client base tends to be equally split between women and men, and covers all ages, professions and issues. My work often straddles home and professional life, looking at goals and strategies for both.
My role is to support and challenge you through your own process of understanding, healing, re-building and change. I often work with clients who have experienced counselling before and have made a decision to get to the bottom of what has troubled them. I want you to gain the maximum long term results from the time and energy you invest in yourself. I work with individuals and couples.
After one session you will know if I am the right person for you or not. I strongly recommend that you choose your counsellor carefully, the relationship you build is essential to effective therapy so you need to make sure that you are comfortable with your counsellor and feel that they have the ability and personality to work with you effectively.
I work in weekly sessions and in intensive 2 day programs (individuals, couples, groups and yoga retreats). For further information regarding the intensive programs please see www.gardengate.org.uk.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
