About me
Anxiety, burnout or major life changes can leave you feeling overwhelmed, on edge, exhausted or unsure of yourself. You may be overthinking, struggling to switch off, feeling tense in your body, sleeping poorly, or holding everything together for others while quietly feeling stuck inside.
Counselling can offer a space to slow things down, to understand what is happening beneath the surface, and to begin finding a way forward that feels more manageable for you.
Support is shaped around you, rather than a one size fits all approach. Our sessions together will help you explore, difficult thoughts, emotions, relationships, past traumatic experiences or patterns and how they are affecting how you feel now.
Whether you're looking for short term-support with a current issue, or longer- term therapy to explore deeper patterns, what is important is that counselling moves at a pace that feels right for you. It can offer space to pause, reflect and make sense of what you are experiencing. rather than trying to cope alone or simply keeping going.
Online counselling is available for adults in Leicester, and across the UK. Sessions take place via Microsoft Teams, allowing you to access counselling from the comfort and privacy of your own surroundings.
If you have AXA, Aviva or Vitality health insurance, you may be able to access online counselling with me, subject to authorisation, policy terms and availability.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
My core approach is person-centred, which means sessions are shaped around you, your pace and what feels important to explore. It is not about being judged or told what to do, but having space to better understand yourself and what may be keeping you feeling stuck.
I may also draw on elements of CBT, Gestalt and solution focused therapy where helpful. CBT can help us notice links between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Gestalt can support our awareness of emotions, patterns and what may be unfinished or unresolved. Solution-focused work can help identify strengths, choices and small steps forward.
Rather than using one fixed approach, counselling is tailored to your individual needs, goals and what feels most helpful for you.
I have experience supporting adults with anxiety, stress, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and feeling overwhelmed or stuck. Starting counselling can feel daunting, especially if you are unsure what to expect.
When you feel ready, you are welcome to get in touch, through Counselling Directory, email or text, whichever feels most comfortable for you. I aim to respond within 24-48 hours.

Further information
My professional background in nursing has shaped the way I work as a counsellor. It has given me an understanding of how closely emotional wellbeing and physical health can be connected, and how stress, anxiety, trauma or emotional strain can affect the body as well as the mind.
Some clients come to counselling while living with long-term health conditions, going through medical treatment, or adjusting to changes in their health. This may include experiences such as fibromyalgia, menopause, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, arthritis, migraines, lupus, or other ongoing health concerns.
I do not diagnose or offer medical advice, but I understand that health difficulties can have a significant emotional impact.
In counselling, I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and supported. Your comfort and readiness are important, especially when exploring painful experiences, trauma or long-held emotions. You remain in control of the process, setting the pace and choosing what feels right to explore.
I work with adults of different ages, backgrounds and genders, offering support with care, empathy and respect. My aim is to walk alongside you as you move towards greater clarity, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
