About me

The decision to invest in your mental health is a commendable and brave step to make, however I understand that it can be intimidating to know where to start. Whatever brings you to therapy, I believe that I can help to create a safe space, in which, together we can explore how to better understand your emotional difficulties, appreciate your skills and strengths and enable you to feel better equipped to build and manage a meaningful life.

As a counselling psychologist with over 10 years experience of working in NHS mental health services, I have worked with a wide range of presentations including depression, anxiety, OCD, personality disorders and psychosis. My work draws on a number of theoretical frameworks including, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), humanistic, and psychodynamic. In practice this means I will collaborate with you to create a tailor-made, evidence-based approach to your therapy, built on your individual needs.

Please get in touch to arrange a free 15 minute consultation to discuss what you would like to work on, how best I could help to achieve your goals, and any questions you might have.

I am currently only able to offer online sessions. I have slots available in the day/evening on Thursdays and Fridays.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a Chartered Psychologist with a doctorate in Counselling psychology. I am registered with both the Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).

I have a wide range of mental health services and NHS experience gained before, during and after my training. I currently work for the NHS in a secondary care psychology service, working with people who have complex, severe and enduring mental health issues. In addition I work for an anger management programme.

Across these roles I work in groups and 1:1

I have also worked in with multi-disciplinary teams in consultation to help different professionals think more psychological about their work.
