About me
With so many crises seemingly upon us, the future now seems uncertain. I am a psychologist who can work with a range of issues or circumstances which may be affecting your wellbeing. My ambition is to support people in living well, to embrace and manage the inevitable distress that is part of the human condition.
These unforeseen global changes may have affected your wellbeing. Common themes include low mood, anxiety, stress, obsessions, compulsions, health worries, dependencies, relationship difficulties, traumatic experiences, bereavement, loss, life transitions and illness. I recognise the challenges in managing life responsibilities including caring for others, work stresses, debt and money worries.
I am trained in person-centred and cognitive behavioural therapies. I work with you to identify which therapeutic approach may be appropriate for you and your goals.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Chartered Psychologist who is registered with the British Psychological Society. You may have confidence in my psychological expertise as indicated by the legally protected title of Chartered Psychologist. The British Psychological Society offers more information and holds a register of chartered psychologists. You will also find me on the BPS Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors.
I have a breadth of experience working psychologically with individuals through private insurance schemes, employee assistance schemes, NHS and third sector sectors, working with a broad range of psychological issues.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Additional information
The typical number of sessions would depend entirely upon your needs and goals. Two assessment sessions are vital to shape how we work together and for how long. It gives you an opportunity to tell you story and explore your hopes for going forward. I do have limited accommodations where funding may present difficulties, please get in touch to chat.
Further information
I'd be glad to offer reduced rates to colleagues and colleagues in training for both therapy or supervision.
