The foundation of my approach is Pluralism, which means collaborating with you to ensure you are getting exactly what you need from counselling, to prosper. These are your sessions, so my role is to work with you to understand, to manage or to overcome your psychological concerns in way that is useful way for you. I am trained pluralistically, which means there is no one correct way to do therapy, because everybody is their own person, and different people need different things at different times.

Hello, my name is Julie, an integrative counsellor. Session charge: £40.00 Availability: (online & in-person) Monday 09:15-15 :30, Friday 09:15-15:15 Age range: 15 upwards.

I'm Kate, I'm an integrative counsellor; I work in a way that draws on a number of different approaches and models instead of working with one specific theory to meet your needs. I believe that life can be difficult sometimes and we all need someone to talk to when we are struggling. An empathetic therapeutic relationship can help you to identify and change areas of your life that are perhaps causing distress, anxiety, depression, and other related difficulties. I can provide an environment that is friendly and a safe non- judgemental space to help explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

Session charge: £40.00 Availability: Monday 09:15-11:45, Tuesday 09:15-18:00, Wednesday 09:15-11:45, Thursday 09:15-18:00, Friday 09:15-11:45

I’m Denise, I will work collaboratively with you; you know you and I know the counselling stuff, together we can work it out. I’ll combine a wealth of therapeutic skills, providing bespoke therapy, as individual as you. You will develop strategies to help you change the unhelpful thoughts and behaviours that are holding you back, arming you with ways for coping with them, now and in the future. I will provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental therapeutic space.  As a member of the BACP, I work in accordance with their ethical framework to always ensure your best interests.

Session charge: £50.00 (couples & individuals) Availability: (online & in-person) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 09:15-19:15 Age range: aged 13 years & above.

Hi, I’m Lisset. I can provide you with 6 sessions of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT works best for people who are psychologically minded and have an awareness and insight into their emotional world. I also offer a trauma intervention called the Rewind. The Rewind is a non-disclosure technique (you don’t have to tell me about your trauma) to reduce the distress it causes on a day-to-day basis. Additionally I offer couple’s counselling to help people improve their interpersonal communication and resolve differences.

Session charge: £50.00 Availability: (in-person) Monday 13:00-15:15, Tuesday 16:00-18:00, Friday 13:00-15:15 Age range: secondary school age upwards.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
