About me

Hello,  Firstly thank you for taking the first step to change your direction.

Choosing the right Therapist is important. I offer a safe and confidential space where a person or couple have the freedom to talk openly and be heard, with no judgment or interruptions. The time to explore the difficulties you are experiencing.  Are these holding you back from your true potential?

Together we can start working creatively to gain self-awareness and development, to learn new skills and insights to enhance your daily life.

Do you feel alone, sad, anxious, depression, struggling to sleep,  low self-esteem, overwhelmed by life?

Are you struggling with addiction? Is it a daily battle to stop what you know is hurting you? Whether it is a mental or physical pain, together we can work on unfolding the trauma behind the addiction and start your recovery plan.

Are you struggling with trauma? Is a past trauma weighing on your conscience holding you back from living your life. Together we can work with your trauma to learn new self-growth and development?

Today is the day,  to change direction, to take the next brave step on your personal journey.

What to expect within a counselling session

Counselling sessions will involve you talking about personal thoughts and maybe sensitive feelings. I will listen and walk beside you through your therapeutic journey.

Who has counselling? People from anywhere, who are facing a variety of difficulties can seek professional help at some time in their life.  Counselling offers a person the opportunity to explore and gain insights to empower and develop a deeper understanding of self.  Some stop striving for perfection and find acceptance of self. Counselling can help you to achieve good mental health and learn new skills to maintain the changes  to empowerment within self.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
