About us

Mind in Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster’s Talking Therapies and Wellbeing Service provides psychological therapy services for people experiencing a range of mental health problems. All adults registered with a Westminster GP or residents in Westminster are eligible.

What we offer:

Individual 1-1 counselling

For between 6-12 weeks

Sessions normally start 4-6 weeks after an assessment.

Sessions last for 50 minutes. We can offer both daytime and evening appointments.

The model of therapy Integrative with a solution based focus.

Goals will be identified and worked towards during the length of your treatment.

Using a supportive, trusting environment you will be able to explore with your therapist and work towards achieving the goals.

Training, qualifications & experience

Our therapists are a mixture of trainee and qualified BPS, BACP, UKCP, Counselling Psychologists, CBT Therapist, Psychotherapists, and Counsellors.

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Fees

You must be over 18 registered and either a resident in Westminster or registered with a GP in Westminster for FREE talking therapy.

  • If you live in Westminster- Your GP is able to refer you to the service via Westminster's Primary Care Plus Mental Health
  • If you live in Queens Park or Paddington area - Your GP can refer you to the service via CNWL's Community Living Well service
  • Self-Referrals - We accept self-referrals from other health professional: for example your midwife, health visitor or practice nurse.
