About me
Couples therapy sessions are now available
Now offering supervision for trainees and qualified counsellors
You might look like you’re coping on the outside—but inside feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in patterns you can’t quite shift.
Many of the people I work with are used to holding everything together for others, while quietly struggling with anxiety, burnout, or the impact of past experiences
You don’t have to navigate this alone.
I work with people who have experienced trauma in many forms—whether from childhood, relationships, family issues, work, or life events that left a lasting impact. Often, this trauma shows up in the present as anxiety, people-pleasing, emotional numbness, low self-worth, or feeling “stuck.” Together, we can gently explore your experience , helping you make sense of what happened and find a way forward that honours your healing.
What therapy with me feels like:
My approach is warm, non-judgmental and trauma-informed. I’ll meet you exactly where you are—with compassion, curiosity, and respect. I’ll walk alongside you as you reconnect with your sense of safety, identity, and hope.
I work integratively, drawing from a range of therapeutic models including person-centred, EMDR, CBT and somatic-based approaches. This means I tailor our work to your unique needs, at a pace that feels manageable for you.
If you’re feeling on edge, overwhelmed, or exhausted to the point of shutdown, I can help you make sense of these experiences and begin to reclaim your energy and emotional resilience. Therapy can offer the space to pause, reflect, and breathe again.
Counselling is an investment in yourself, to help you better understand your experiences and feelings. Everything you’re feeling makes sense in the context of what you’ve been through. There is strength in reaching out, and I’d be honoured to support you in reconnecting with that strength.
The Benefits of Couples Therapy:
Every relationship faces challenges from time to time. Communication can break down, trust can feel shaken, or life’s pressures can start to create distance. Couples therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore what’s happening between you, understand each other’s needs, and rebuild connection.
Through relationship counselling, partners have the opportunity to slow things down and really listen — not just to respond, but to understand. Together, we can work on:
Improving communication so both partners feel heard and valued.
Rebuilding trust after conflict, infidelity, or disconnection.
Navigating differences in values, parenting styles, or life goals.
Strengthening emotional and physical intimacy through greater understanding and empathy.
Managing life transitions such as new parenthood, career changes, or separation.
Couples therapy isn’t only for relationships in crisis. Many couples seek relationship support to strengthen their bond, prevent small issues from becoming bigger ones, or to deepen their emotional connection.
It’s an opportunity to rediscover your relationship as a source of care, understanding, and growth — and to learn new ways of relating that help you move forward together.
My practice is based between Leeds and York, I offer in person, online, telephone, walk and talk, and live messaging counselling.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I have a particular interest in working with women with ADHD, including those who have been diagnosed later in life. This can include experiences such as emotional overwhelm, rejection sensitivity (RSD), people-pleasing, and burnout. Therapy offers a space to better understand how ADHD may be shaping your experiences, and to develop more supportive and sustainable ways of coping

What does it mean to work with an integrative counsellor?
Being an integrative counsellor means I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Instead, I draw on different psychological theories and tools to tailor the work to you—your needs, your pace, and your story.
Some days, you might want to talk things through and make sense of patterns or behaviours. Other times, it might be more helpful to gently tune into your body, or explore how your past is shaping your present. I integrate approaches such as person-centred therapy (which places you at the heart of the work), psychodynamic therapy (which looks at how your early experiences may still affect you), and somatic or body-based methods that help process trauma stored in the nervous system.
This flexibility allows us to work in a way that feels safe, grounded, and meaningful—without forcing anything before you’re ready.
What is EMDR and how can it help?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a powerful and evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from the impact of traumatic or overwhelming experiences.
When we go through trauma, our brain sometimes gets “stuck” trying to process what happened. This can lead to flashbacks, anxiety, low self-worth, and feeling emotionally triggered in ways that don’t always make sense.
EMDR uses gentle eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation (like tapping) to help your brain reprocess these memories, so they no longer carry the same emotional charge. You don’t need to go into detail about the trauma unless you want to—EMDR is designed to work without re-traumatising you.
Clients often describe feeling lighter, more grounded, and more in control of their emotions after EMDR. It can be especially helpful for PTSD, complex trauma, and other deeply rooted emotional wounds.
ADHD Support:
I have a personal understanding of ADHD, which informs my work in a grounded and compassionate way. I recognise that ADHD is not just about attention or focus, but also about emotional experiences such as rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD), which can feel overwhelming and deeply personal. In our work together, I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where we can explore these experiences, build emotional resilience, and develop strategies to help you feel more regulated, understood, and confident in yourself.
I am an accredited member of the NCPS and a member of the BACP and work to their ethical codes of professional practice. I attended monthly supervision to ensure I work within best practice at all times.
I aim to reply to enquiries within 24 hours, if you haven't received my reply, please check your spam/junk folder.
