About me

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC and the British Psychological Society. I offer both short-term, goal-oriented counselling as well as longer term psychological therapy.

Feelings of low self-esteem, anxiety and depression can be debilitating, and managing the complexities of personal and professional relationships can feel overwhelming. The therapeutic process offers a space in which to gain meaningful insight and work towards living a more fulfilling life. My aim is to provide a safe, empathic and confidential environment in which to help each person find the best way of dealing with the circumstances and experiences that cause them distress.

My approach is to work collaboratively with each individual in a way that is sensitive to their ambitions for personal growth and change. I enjoy working in a creative manner and developing a bespoke treatment for each individual client. I'm committed to developing a strong therapeutic relationship that emphasises respect, acceptance and understanding.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have done extensive research and clinical work regarding male mental health, masculinity, masculine identity and it's bearing on personal and professional relationships.
