About me

Sometimes we can be in a place of turmoil, depression or anxiety and don't know where to turn; a short-term, safe space in which to talk these through with someone warm, calm and empathetic can really help clarify what's going on and empower you during this difficult time.

It can be especially difficult when travelling to a new country - either temporarily travelling through, or moving for work or family to start a new life somewhere. Without your normal support systems, friends and family, it can be a tough transition. I specialise in backpackers, expats, students and those who have moved to the U.K permanently, but also have some spots left for long-term clients based in the U.K online, or in person in West London.

I work in a relational way - encouraging your autonomy by coming up with a plan together and accessing the resources that you already have within you. I'm incredibly passionate about what I do; I believe that there is always more to learn within this field and I intend to carry on expanding my knowledge and practice to my best ability to better aid you.

I offer Long term therapy, Single session therapy (SST) and short-term therapy (up to 6 sessions), which can offer true flexibility, won't cost the earth and can provide a place to talk these things through with a professionally qualified therapist without the long-term commitment.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

In particular, I feel passionate about the fact that backpackers and shift-workers can find it hard to access therapy services. I have also been working with students in the past couple of years and am working at a University in London with students for short-term therapy from February 2024.
