About me
Sometimes we can be in a place of turmoil, depression or anxiety and don't know where to turn; a short-term, safe space in which to talk these through with someone warm, calm and empathetic can really help clarify what's going on and empower you during this difficult time.
I work in a relational way - encouraging your autonomy by coming up with a plan together and accessing the resources that you already have within you. I'm incredibly passionate about what I do; I believe that there is always more to learn within this field and I intend to carry on expanding my knowledge and practice to my best ability to better aid you.
I have experience working with suicidal thoughts, childhood sexual abuse, and trauma. I specialise in working with women in coercive or toxic relationships, and all types of relationship issues. Even though counsellors cannot diagnose any kind of Neurodivergence, I work with many clients with diagnosed and undiagnosed ADHD and also work with highly sensitive people and help them move through difficult and strong emotions, including working through triggers and helping calm down their nervous systems using various techniques.
I currently work at a University in London offering 6 session counselling to the students there, however, I also work with all adults with all types of difficulties and mental health struggles. I feel passionately about working with shift-workers, backpackers, expats and those who are staying short-term and supporting them in a flexible way.
As I am recently trained in Couples therapy, I offer discounted rates of £80 per session for those wanting to start couples therapy, or £120 for an hour and a half.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Working hours are flexible so do get in contact if needing a one off session, or short-term therapy as I can make allowances for these.
Further information
In particular, I feel passionate about the fact that backpackers and shift-workers can find it hard to access therapy services. Please do reach out if this is you.
I have also been working with students in the past couple of years and am working at a University in London with students for short-term therapy from February 2024.
