About me

Welcome to my counselling profile. I'm Stacy, a dedicated and empathetic counsellor here to support you on your journey towards healing and growth. With a warm and non-judgmental approach, I create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I strongly believe that counselling should be accessible to everyone who needs it, which is why I offer online counselling sessions for £35 per 50-minute session.

My approach integrates Person-Centred Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), two powerful methodologies that can help you navigate your challenges and achieve your goals.

As a person-centred counsellor, I focus on you as an individual, valuing your unique experiences and perspectives. What challenges are you currently facing? Whether it's anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relationship issues, or feeling stuck, I believe you are the expert on your own life. For example, if you're experiencing relationship challenges, person-centred counselling can provide a supportive environment where you can openly express your feelings, gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your partner, and explore ways to improve communication and resolve conflicts. My role is to provide genuine acceptance, empathy, and understanding, empowering you to gain insight, self-awareness, and the confidence to make positive changes.

In addition to person-centred therapy, I offer Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you achieve your goals more efficiently. Are you struggling with stress, work/life balance challenges, relationship issues, or a sense of being stuck? SFBT might be just what you need. What specific goals do you want to achieve? In just six sessions, we'll work together to identify your goals and the steps needed to achieve them. For instance, if you're feeling overwhelmed at work, I'll help you recall times when you felt more in control and productive. We'll explore the strategies you used then and how you can apply them now. Through targeted questions, such as "What will be different when your problem is solved?" or "Can you think of a time when this issue was less severe?" we focus on your strengths and past successes. SFBT is all about building on these strengths and focusing on solutions, empowering you to make meaningful, lasting changes.

I also specialise in providing bereavement counselling. Losing a loved one can be one of the most difficult experiences we face, and the grieving process can be overwhelming and complex. Are you navigating the stages of grief or struggling with unresolved grief from the past? As a specialised bereavement counsellor, I offer compassionate support to help you honour your loved one's memory and find healing in your loss.

My counselling sessions are tailored to meet your individual needs and goals, providing a supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and validated. Together, we will work collaboratively to explore your emotions, identify coping strategies, and develop practical skills to help you manage life's challenges more effectively.

If you're ready to take the first step towards a brighter tomorrow, I invite you to reach out and schedule a complimentary online consultation with me. Remember, you don't have to face your struggles alone. With compassionate support and guidance, you can embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and personal growth.

I look forward to walking alongside you on your path towards healing and transformation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified counsellor with a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

Over the years, I have helped clients from all walks of life navigate a variety of issues using Person-Centred Therapy and SFBT. Whether it's managing everyday stressors like work-related pressure, family conflicts, the challenges of balancing personal and professional life, or dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and panic attacks, I tailor my approach to meet each client's unique needs. For instance, with person-centred therapy, I have supported individuals in exploring and understanding their emotions, leading to greater self-awareness and improved relationships. Through SFBT, I have helped clients quickly identify their goals and develop practical strategies to overcome obstacles, enabling them to see progress in a short amount of time.

Additionally, I specialise in bereavement counselling, offering compassionate support to those grappling with the loss of a loved one, guiding them through the grieving process and helping them find a path to healing.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
