About me

Hi, my name is Spencer I am a highly experienced integrative psychotherapist in the Essex area.

Being integrative means that I am not set by a single counselling method instead, I am able to use many methods of therapeutic intervention to give you a completely personal experience in moving forward with present issues you may be having. I have been involved with mental health for over 25 years and have a deep understanding of long-term illness, depression, PTSD, anxiety, suicide and self-harm, ADHD, family problems, adult and children support, and life coaching.

I also offer outside Natural environmental counselling, offering a walk-and-talk experience in the beauty of our countryside. This has been proven to enhance therapeutic intervention when experiencing life difficulties.

I offer a confidential and safe place to explore your feeling together with a non-judgmental, comfortable relaxing space for my clients to move forward and find happiness. I will stand beside you on your journey and support you throughout your therapeutic experience allowing you to find the true meaning of a happy life.

I have extensive knowledge of different trauma-focused interventions working with both the military and our emergency services. It does not matter what your background is, together we can make a positive change.

With present-day issues in our country,  DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, AND WORRY are largely affecting people's everyday life. I am a positive-thinking and motivated person who will assist you in making positive change.

Get in touch and I will call you back for a free consultation.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
