About me

Is life feeling tough at the moment? Are you feeling stressed, anxious and or depressed? I can help  I am a qualified person-centred trauma informed counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My passion for counselling started after being through the process myself throughout my life. I found myself in a situation where I was faced with thoughts and feelings that I did not recognise and this was impacting on my life, I was stuck. After seeking support from bereavement counsellors, I started to rebuild my life and things started to become clear again.

Counselling is an opportunity to build a professional relationship based on trust.  We will focus on the presenting concerns and I will offers a safe space to allow exploration of these concerns and work towards a more positive outlook.

Sessions will usually last 50 minutes however a 20 minute initial consultation will be offered free of charge, this will allow me to introduce myself and explore what your expectations are of counselling and what you expect to gain from the process. If you decide that I am the right counsellor for you, our first session will involve me going through the terms of our working agreement and a contract will be negotiated which will identify clear boundaries including confidentiality and use of data.

I am based in Glasgow and will be offering online counselling via Zoom or Teams.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
