About me

I offer a warm and understanding space to enhance the possibility of you overcoming whatever your struggles may be. I will establish a compassionate environment and be beside you while you explore, express, and process your worries, with no judgement. Guidance in bringing you to a new awareness and creating a clear perspective through empathy is what I desire to bring.

I am a fully qualified and insured psychotherapeutic counsellor and member of the BACP. I specialise in working with children, young people and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life changes, low self-esteem, anger, or are stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, self-sabotaging behaviours, avoidance, procrastination, frustration, or grief.

I believe everyone is made up of different experiences, with lifestyle and upbringing shaping who you are today, and therefore I adapt my therapeutic approach to best suit your needs. I will be alongside you while you travel at a comfortable pace to self-awareness. Together we can create meaningful change, leading to a better quality of life.

I consider myself to be open-minded and down-to-earth, and my efforts will ensure my work with you is encouraging and empowering.

I believe that the client-therapist relationship is important and therefore I offer a free initial appointment lasting 15 minutes. During the introductory call, we can talk through what has brought you to counselling and get a sense of how we may work together. Your questions are welcome during this call.

If you would like to begin your therapy journey with me, please get in touch.

The Therapy Lane invites your words to be heard. Together we can move towards defining your potential within.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
